If you know pretty much nothing about raw food and raw food diets, there are some great raw food books out there for beginners. Books ideal for beginners tend to focus on background information about raw food diets and have less focus on recipes and the small details of the diet that more experienced people may appreciate.

Into the Raw by Carol Alt is a very good book for introducing one to the subject of raw food eating and covers all the basics thoroughly. There are recipes in it for those curious about what raw food has to offer, but they are at the back and are not part of the main book itself.

It is a great choice for those who are undecided about raw food diets and feel the need to acquire more information. You could also try the eBook by Karen Knowler, How to get Started with Raw Foods, which is aimed at beginners and covers about every question you may have on the subject.

Once you’re past the beginner stage but aren’t quite an expert, you may want background knowledge and a little extra. The Rainbow Diet by Gabriel Cousens is ideal if you’re a little more read-up on the subject but still need the basics along with a whole heap of other information. The author of this raw food book has devoted his life to the subject of raw food, and it shows through the quality and depth offered by the book.

If you’re more experienced with raw food diets or you’ve read a few raw food books before, you may be looking for something a little more advanced. There are an enormous number of raw food books out there for people a little more knowledgeable on the subject. These books offer some great recipe ideas and go into more detail about the benefits of raw food diets.

Victoria Boutenko’s Green for Life is ideal for those who know a lot about the subject and want something a little different. There are recipes, tips and all different types of information in the book. It is a must have for all people who follow a raw food diet and for anyone with a good interest in the subject.

Another great raw food author is Kristen Suzanne who has a huge variety of raw vegan books to please any appetite. She has an array of recipes from desserts, soups, snacks and much more.
